Trademark Look
Your Trademark Look is how text appears on your videos: the font, size, colors and style of your subtitles and your hook — the line of text at the top that tells people why to keep watching.
Set it once under Settings → Trademark Look and every new video uses it. The preview on the right updates as you change things.
Subtitles
Show subtitles turns them on or off for all new videos. You can still switch them off for a single video later.
Animation decides how words appear:
| Animation | What you see |
|---|---|
| Line-by-line | The whole line at once |
| Single word | One word at a time |
| Karaoke | The whole line, with the word being spoken in color |
| Highlight | The whole line, with a colored background behind the word being spoken |
| Build-a-line | Words appearing one by one until the line is complete |
Karaoke and Highlight have an extra Highlight color. If you don't pick one, your brand's accent color is used.
Hook
Maximum on-screen time. How long the hook can stay before it hides, from 4 to 10 seconds (default 6). At 4 it hides after exactly 4 seconds; above that, it hides at the right moment for the video, somewhere between 4 seconds and your maximum.
Font, size and colors
Subtitles and hook each have their own:
- Font. Your brand font, the default, or any font you've uploaded under Brand.
- Font size. From 24 to 120.
- Text color. With quick swatches for white, black and your brand colors.
- Text style. None, Background (a box behind the text, with its own color and transparency), Outline or Shadow — each with its own color.
- Default position. Where on the screen the text sits. You can still drag it elsewhere on a single video.
Changing it later
New videos pick up your look right away. Videos that are already scheduled or published are locked; make a copy to restyle them.
